Success Stories

“I completed a FETAC/QQI Level 5 Business Administration Course in Abbeyleix FEC in 2013. The course included essential subjects and topics to work in the world of business. I learned many vital IT skills during the year, skills that are now invaluable for my own business. With the skills, knowledge and confidence obtained from this course I opened my own business, Api’s Chocolate, in Portlaoise a year and a half ago.
Artisan chocolates handmade by myself are offered, ranging from chocolates containing truffles, pralines, fudge, liqueurs, dried fruit and many more. Other delicious treats are offered also, such as brightly coloured macaroons, crepes with a choice of fillings, locally produced ice cream, speciality coffee or tea and a selection of cakes which can be made to order for special occasions.
The business has been very successful to date and I thoroughly enjoy being my own boss and being a part of the business community in Laois. I would thoroughly recommend the Business Course in Abbeyleix and feel that it contributed greatly to me being able to set up and run my own business.” Maria Lukacova
